Welcome to Victor Daitz Information Gateway
The Victor Daitz Information Gateway is an online portal that provides access to a collection of scientific literature on HIV and TB. The gateway is designed to be a resource to serve the HIV and TB research community at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa and in resource-scarce settings where access to scientific information is limited.
ABOUT THE INFORMATION GATEWAY
The Victor Daitz Information Gateway is a project of the Victor Daitz Chair in HIV/TB Research at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. KwaZulu-Natal is at the epicentre of the HIV and TB epidemics sweeping across the globe. It is also home to a vibrant research community dedicated to finding better ways to manage these two devastating diseases.
It stands to reason, therefore, that this research community requires ready access to a comprehensive selection of research literature on HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis.
To address this need, the Victor Daitz Foundation, together with University of KwaZulu-Natal College of Health Sciences (UKZN CHS) and the KwaZulu-Natal Research Institute for TB and HIV (K-RITH) have set up an online information gateway to serve as a portal for scientific literature on HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis. The Gateway will also enable electronic access to a selection of reputable journals relevant to HIV/AIDS and TB research (including Science, Nature, Journal of Virology, Infection and Immunity and others) through the University library system. Full articles are only available to the UKZN academic community.
